The EDF is deeply concerned with protecting endangered species and keeping people informed about health hazards due to eating certain foods. There is information on how to keep our air and oceans clean, global warming, and how to save and/or restore national landmarks back to their original beauty. There is also information about national campaigns, partnerships, programs, and how to take action locally.

An environmentally political organization, the ELPC's site contains information on various fundraisers in Chicago that support environmental awareness and protection. The ELPC has bases in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ohio, and raises concerns about the wildlife and natural resource conservation in these states. Listservs are available for those interested in learning more, and to be kept informed about events concerning the Midwest.

There are opportunities for people to get involved in their own states and around the country, along with a chance to get involved with influencing political decisions on environmental protection.
