Earth Hour

The Ecology Action Center encourages families, businesses, local government, and other community groups throughout the Bloomington-Normal community to participate in Earth Hour 2014 by turning off their nonessential lights and equipment for one hour in a symbolic effort to raise awareness about how energy efficiency and conservation can help reduce the negative impacts of global climate change.   On Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 8:30-9:30 pm, you can join people from all across the globe in committing to a positive action for the planet.

As climate change poses threats to our own local economy and the environment, events like Earth Hour are becoming more important.  Earth Hour in McLean County involves cooperative action in order to make the community more green and sustainable. We can all work together to spread the word and help raise awareness about climate change.
